How to measure your forks
To order the correct ForkSocks size, measure the forks of your forklift or telehandler as shown in the diagram above. Take the measurements in millimetres where possible and always check both forks.
- Length – the total length of the horizontal fork blade, measured from the heel (where the blade meets the upright) to the tip.
- Width – the width of the fork blade, measured across the flat, wide face.
- Height – the thickness of the fork blade, measured at its thickest point near the heel.
- Mid-Taper – the point where the fork blade starts to taper (become thinner) towards the tip.
- Tip to Taper – the distance from the tip to where the taper begins.
Always measure at the thickest and widest point. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one. Make sure the fork is clean and not deformed. Then choose the ForkSocks size that matches the dimensions in the product title (length × width).
